11th April 2010
Windsurfing: DIP
Wind Direction: NE
Wind Stength: F4 - 5
Surf / Sea State: FLAT / CHOP
Air Temperature: 7C
Sea Temperature: COLD
Weather: SUNNY
Max Speed: 27 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered:

Whilst trying to charge my GPS unsuccessfully - I thought it was too cold, although sun was out. The sea looked great for me and Steve C found me hanging around and convinced me to stay. The GPS took 10 mins charge. The wind sun and sea was great. Rigged 7.8 RS Slalom / 145 rocket 76 and had a great time GPS top speed 27 kts, could have gone faster, but wind increased to F5 and gear was too big. Surprisingly didn't feel the water temperature, despite falling in, Guls Delta winter suits are good. Much prefer my gear to the hire stuff in El Medano! and nice start to season. Switch GTX gear to Prydes RS Slaloms for 2010. The 7.8M is a hot sail cranking upwind without effort. The Steves, Rog Mark Andy, Alton Tim and others out and going well.
Looking out for a nearly new 490 and 460 X6 masts + 38cm power box fin
